Getting Started with Be Certified

Everything you need to know after purchasing your first certification

Welcome to Be Certified! This guide walks you through your first steps on the platform so you can start working towards certification straight away.

Logging In for the First Time

1. Check your inbox — After purchasing, you’ll receive a welcome email with your login details. If you can’t find it, check your junk or spam folder.

2. Go to app.becertified.com and enter your email address and password.

3. Set a strong password if prompted. Make sure it meets the required criteria displayed on screen.

Your Dashboard

Once logged in, you’ll land on your dashboard. This is your home base — it gives you an overview of your certification progress and quick access to everything you need.

From your dashboard you can see:

• Your active certifications and overall progress

• Which clauses you’ve completed, started, or haven’t touched yet

• Quick links to continue where you left off

Your First Steps

We recommend getting started in this order:

1. Explore the clauses — Browse through the certification requirements to get a feel for what’s involved. Don’t worry about answering everything at once.

2. Read the expert guidance — Every clause comes with plain-English guidance written by our consultants. This explains what the clause means and what kind of evidence you need.

3. Start with what you know — You don’t have to work through the clauses in order. Start with the areas you’re most confident about to build momentum.

4. Invite your team — Certification is a team effort. You can add unlimited users at no extra cost, so get the right people involved early. See our article on Inviting and Managing Team Members.

5. Upload your existing documents — If you already have policies, procedures, or records that could serve as evidence, upload them to the document area. See How to Add Documents and Folders.

Tip: Your progress is auto-saved, so you can close the platform at any time and pick up exactly where you left off.
